Choice Is Plenty. Why Choose XiteBio® PulseRhizo® For Your Pulse Inoculation?

When researching which inoculant to use for your pulse crops next season, you will find lots of options in the market to choose from. However, one inoculant certainly offers some unique advantages over rest of the pulse inoculants in the market: XiteBio® PulseRhizo®. How can XiteBio® PulseRhizo® help your crops next season and what does it do differently than other inoculants? In this week’s edition of growing possibilities, we will be discussing the distinctive plant health advantages offered by XiteBio® PulseRhizo®.

XiteBio® PulseRhizo® for peas, lentils & faba beans is a premium liquid inoculant that delivers many advantages over other formulations like granular or peat powder. This easy to use, all-in-one formulation means no mixing of extenders/additives or extra steps. The bulkiness and cumbersome handling associated with peat and granular inoculants reduces efficiency and causes time to be wasted on extra trips to & from your storage area. Granular inoculants also require large storage spaces, and require constant supervision to prevent bridging & plugging of equipment. XiteBio® PulseRhizo® eliminates these issues and increases your efficiency. The unique liquid formula is compatible with most chemical seed treatments & some fertilizers, and will reduce sticking & bridging of seeds. If applying as a seed treatment, XiteBio® PulseRhizo® lasts up to 48 hours on-seed, giving you plenty of time to plant after inoculant application.

When choosing an inoculant for your crop, consistent performance should be the key, and that’s where XiteBio® PulseRhizo® stands above the most of the commercial inoculants in the market, be it a peat-based inoculant or granular inoculant. XiteBio® PulseRhizo® encourages greater root nodulation and nitrogen (N) fixation, with agronomic performance equal to or better than granular products at a lower cost per acre. The secret behind this performance advantage is in the XiteBio’s unique proprietary formulation called AGPT® (Advanced Growth Promoting Technology). AGPT® is specially formulated with the selected rhizobium species to ensure the strongest nodulation and greatest N-fixation for your legume crops like pulses or soybeans.

AGPT® inoculants also introduce the optimum number of rhizobia into your soil. As previously discussed on the Growing Possibilities blog, more is not always better when it comes to the number of bacteria present in your inoculant. In fact, too many bacteria can lead to overcrowding and nutrient competition. XiteBio® PulseRhizo® is different because it introduces the optimum number of N-fixing rhizobium into your soil, triggering increased soil microbial activity and N-fixation. Moreover, XiteBio® PulseRhizo® goes beyond traditional inoculants by working in synergy with the native soil bacteria. Generally, other traditional inoculants try to out-compete the native micro-flora by introducing so-called stronger or superior or more active rhizobia resulting in a competition between the introduced inoculant rhizobia and the native bacteria for resources such as nutrients & space on your seed. This competition often reduces the efficacy of your inoculant and can even make your inoculant non-performing. As a result inoculant consistency generally suffers as well. On the other hand, synergies created between the bacteria from your inoculant and the bacteria naturally present in your soil means more consistent inoculant performance showing optimal N-fixation, healthier plants & better yields.
